Sono nata a Amorosi (Benevento) pero' sono 25 anni che vivo in
America.Quest'estate sono stata in Italia a Puglianello (Benevento) con mio marito e mia figlia di 15 anni e mio figlio di 12 anni. Non volevano piu' ritornare in America e specialmente mia figlia, si e' messa in testa che vuole venire a vivere in Italia. Loro parlano il dialetto ma io penso che avrebbero dei disagi in una scuola italiana e devono incominciare quasi da zero a impararla. Cerco consigli e opinioni oneste per quanto riguarda la difficolta' che loro incontreranno a scuola e sopratutto il fatto che eventualmente e assolutamente devono continuare all'universita'.
Vorrei anche avere qualche informazione della succursale universitaria che e' stata aperta a Benevento. Che facolta' offrono etc.

Sono tanto contento di aver trovato la vostra pagina sul internet. Nato in America ma sempre parlanda italiano a casa piu i tre anni col militare dal 1961 al 1964 a Vicenza ce sempre la nostalgia per Italia nel mio cuore. Il campionato del calcio e una cosa che seguo da quando andavo a vedere il Lanerossi di Vicenza giocare.

Egregio sig. Sorrentini, sono un visitatore abituale del suo sito e ho deciso di scriverle per complimentarla di cio' che ha saputo fare. Il mio nome e' Salvatore Spina.
Sono nato ad Atripalda dove ho ancora numerosi parenti ed amici. Dal 1962 vivo negli Stati Uniti, a West Orange, nel New Jersey. Vengo spesso in Italia a rivisitare i luoghi che mi hanno visto crescere e di cui conservo bellissime memorie.
Alla fine degli anni cinquanta ho frequentato ad Atripalda le scuole elementari a via Roma e quelle medie in piazza. Nel 1961, prima di emigrare in america, ho concluso gli studi ginnasiali al liceo Pietro Colletta di Avellino.

My name is Frank Louis Petrosino, and am the son of Frank Louis Petrosino. His father was Salvatore Pasquale Petrosino and his wife was Mary Cappiella. They lived at #13 Via Constantinopoli in Rocca San Felice. His father was Luigi Michele Petrosino and his mother was Clementina Gannella and they wrre married on March 4, 1889. Salvatore Pasquale immigrated to the United States and changed his name to Frank Sullivan Petrosino. When I visited this fine city, the people were warm and very open. I looked up information on my family and was abruptly stopped. Later I was to receive a letter from Signora Gentile, who explained that she was my father's sister and has four children. She is still living in Rocca San Felice and wanted to stay in contact. I do as well but unfortunately my Italian is limited to speaking and reading. Is there a way you can help me with this situation. I have tried to look through the internet to find other means but to no success. The village was breathtaking though my visit was over Easter and the snow came and it turned out to be very cold. I did visit the fortress and unfortuneately the church was closed. Signor Felice, the captain of the police and his wife, were kind enough to buy myself and my other American co- worker a cup of espresso. Your help would be greatly appreciated and pictures of my family as well as a detailed family tree would be fantastic. Most of the Petrosino family lives in upstate New York in an area called the Finger Lakes. It is an area that has five lakes shaped like your hand which is where the name is derived from. They migrated into a town called Clyde New York. My great Uncle Fred Petrosino lived to be 101 years old and my father died at the age on 57 in 1968. Brothers were Albert, Louis, Frank, and Michael. I made many goodfriends there particularly the family across from where we were stationed. Unfortunately I don't remember names but I do remember with much affection the people there and their many kindness.

My memory is quite good of certain aspects of the place but not all. If someone could take the time to refresh my memories I would appreciate it very much. Mi padre nació en Conza della Campania en 1932, vivió y trabajo allí hasta los 26 años, luego viajo a Venezuela donde formo un hogar con tres hijos, uno de sus hijos es quien escribe esta nota Mi padre y por supuesto mi persona somos devotos de San Gerardo Maiella, a quien le debemos muchos favores, además de devotos, ambos, mi padre y yo y también mi hijo tenemos por nombre Gerardo, el punto es que en el año 1979 viajamos a Italia y visitamos por supuesto el Santuario de San Gerardo M., y entre muchas otras cosas que hicimos en el santuario como compra de recuerdos , medallas , cuadros, asistir a la homilía etc.., abrimos una suscripción con una revista que es editada especialmente por el Santuario para enviarla al exterior. Después de muchos años dejamos de recibir la revista, nosotros cambiamos de dirección y por una u otra razón no renovamos la suscripción. Aprovechando que hoy he descubierto esta pagina en Internet, quisiéramos solicitar de usted información en los siguientes aspectos. Deseo saber si es posible obtener información de el Santuario y de sus actividades así como también de los pasos a seguir para renovar la suscripción a la revista a través de este medio. Saber si puedo comunicarme con ustedes en idioma Español o Ingles porque lamentablemente no domino el italiano, o si solo puedo hacerlo en italiano. No sabe usted la alegría que tuvo mi papa cuando le mostré la impresión de las paginas de el Santuario y de Conza della Campania, es increíble hay que verlo entonces se entendería el porque de esta solicitud que le estoy haciendo en este momento.
